Our History
“My kids and I have been donating shoes to kids in need for about 5 years now. It started with us saving spare change throughout the year in a jar labeled “kicks jar.” When we had enough money saved we would buy someone who needed them a pair of shoes. I thought it would be a good lesson for my kids or at least a teaching point, that being “selfless” is always better than being “selfish.” We gave one pair of shoes a year to kids who really needed them, and we genuinely got the feeling that a single act of kindness could not just make someone’s day but possibly inspire them toward greater things in their future. We decided at that moment we needed to reach more people on a slightly larger scale and that was the spark that lead to the journey that has become Sole Inspiration.” ~ Matt Wise, President
Our Mission
We are a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization located in Northeast Ohio. Our mission is to provide athletic footwear to underprivileged youth who would otherwise not be able to properly participate in team sports. Our hope is to motivate youth by helping them achieve their athletic goals as well as inspiring them to help others in need in the future.
